There are beauty mistakes that are commonly made by the beginners in the makeup application. But everyone makes mistakes until he learns the right way of the things. How to test a foundation. Don’t choose a foundation color according to your facial skin complexion. Instead of the cheek, swipe three shades of foundation on your neck, right under the jaw line and blend them, whichever disappear, it is the right shade. If you test the foundation on your cheek you might end up with a different colored face. The reason for this is that your face is exposed to weather conditions more often than the rest of your body.

The concealer. It is a mistake to apply your concealer before the foundation. You are just removing it when you apply the oily texture of the foundation and that’s how you are wasting the whole bottle of your expensive concealer for so little time. Instead, reorder the steps. Apply your foundation first and then the concealer where it is needed.

Motions of the foundation brush. When you apply your foundation don’t move the brush up and down, instead of these motions, just pat the foundation on the skin. When you use upward strokes you are lifting the facial hairs, which creates a peach look of the skin. The pats will create smoother effect.

Be careful with the pimple covering. Don’t hide a pimple with the concealer that you use for the under eye area. It is lighter than the skin complexion and using it for pimple hiding will only highlight the pimple and it will draw attention to it, which is the exact opposite effect than the one you wish to achieve. Just use a creamy concealer that matches your skin complexion. Apply foundation, then concealer and top it with setting powder. The pimple will be only a memory.

Don’t skip moisturizer on oily skin. If you try  to be clever, you will just force your skin to produce more oils. The skin will remain dry and irritated if you skip the moisturizing step and it will produce more oil in order to fix the problem with the drought. For oily skin you should use as a moisturizer a mattifying gel instead of cream moisturizer.

Remove the excess glow that is created from the oily T-zone skin. Use a kitchen tissue, because it is extra absorbing and also will save the foundation on.

The bronzer shouldn’t be applied all over the face. Apply in the shape of 3 on the forehead, cheekbone and the jaw line.

Remember to clean your brushes every week in order to prevent any acne issues or pore clogging.
If you are wearing a dark colored lipstick you should sharpen the edges by highlighting the area around the lips with your foundation. Use a brush for more precise work.
