Having healthy and beautiful nails require a lot of care, but that doesn’t necessarily means that you also have to spend so much money on that. Luckily, there are many ways you can naturally get the nails you desire.
The use of essential oils, vitamins and the right nail care items can help you with this, no matter if you’re having problems with weak or stained nails or dry cuticles. Scroll bellow to find out what can you do and what you need for this!
1. Make a Nail Strengthener with Essential Oils
Essential oils can do magic with our nails, so it’s really recommended to try out some of these if you want to strengthen your nails. As your carrier base oil, you can use argan, sweet almond, jojoba or fractionated coconut oil. You will also need 15 drops of both Ying Yang and Mruhh essential oil. Place these two in an empty nail bottle and add the carrier oil. Shake it well and use it daily on bare nails.
2. Sthrentghten Your Nails with Vitamin E
Vitamin E promotes healthy growth of our nails by destroying the free radicals that damage them. If you use it in a topical liquid form, this vitamin is able to correct certain nail – growth disorders, such as yellow nails. You can use vitamin E to many DIY nail mixtures and here’s one you can easily make: you need castor oil, vitamin E gel capsules, cotton balls, small glass container and optional – use lavender or eucalyptus essential oil.
3. Make a Mask for Stained Nails
This is a very budget-friendly DIY mixture, as all you need are just two ingredients – baking soda and lemon juice. The baking soda works as exfoliator, while the lemon juice provides the whitening that will make those stains go away. You only need just a tablespoon of the soda and just a little bit of a fresh lemon juice, rub the mixture on your nails, keep it like that for 10 minutes and then rinse off.
4. Whiten Yellow Nails
This is a common problem and luckily there are few natural remedies to help. One of them is being the previous mixture with baking soda and lemon juice, but there are two others you can try. Try mixing lemon juice with water and soak your nails in the mixture for about 5 minutes; or also you can soak your nails in certain oil, such as coconut or olive.
5. Promote Nail Growth with Olive Oil
As we mentioned, you can give your nails an amazing treatment with olive oil. It penetrates the skin and it helps in repairing any damage done to our nails, while it also promotes healthy growth. Warm a little bit of olive oil, let it cool and then soak your nails in the warm oil for 15-30 minutes. It will make them moisturized and shiny.
6. Use Coconut Oil
Instead of olive oil, you can try using coconut. It has many benefits and we’ll name just few. The coconut oil has anti-fungal properties thanks to which it can help in fighting away any fungal infections. The oil works as moisturizer, both to our nails and cuticles – it makes them stronger. It also has emollient nature that will prevent your nails from getting dry and brittle.
7. Recover from Acrylics
After acrylics is very important to give your nails the proper care so that they can be healthy as possible. There are certain ways that you can do this, such as not tearing any acrylic residue, but instead rubbing your nails with acetone-soaked cotton balls. There are other things that you can do, such as using vitamin E or essential oil.
8. Get the Nail Care Essentials
It’s also important to invest in proper nail care items. There are many options when it comes to this, so it’s up to you to choose the ones that you need the most and which won’t empty your pocket. You should have nail clippers, nail files, manicure set and cuticle remover, just to name few of the must have items.
9. Make Your Own Cuticle Oil and Nail Serum with Essential Oils
One of the things that can be really irritating is dry and cracking skin around the nails. It can lead to bleeding cuticles and nobody wants that! For this, you can make your own natural remedy with the use of essential oils. You will need 1 oz. glass dropper bottle, grapeseed oil, vegetable glycerine, jojoba oil, 10 drops of lavender essential oil, 15 drops of frankincense essential oil, 15 drops of myrrh essential oil, 15 drops of lemon essential oil and 5 drops of rosemary essential oil.
10. Get a Quick Nail Treat
And last, but not least, if you feel like you’re hands and nails have been dry, you can make a nail treatment at home instead of paying tens or even hundreds of dollars somewhere else. All you need to do is to soak your nails in almond or sunflower oil for 10 mins in order to condition those places around the nails that are prone to dehydration. Add one teaspoon of sugar on your hands, mix it with the oil and rub your hands to exfoliate.

What Are the Best Tips for Oily Skin Care?
Oily skin is caused by the skin producing too much oil, creating a shiny appearance on the face, neck or back. A regular oily skin care routine is required to manage excess oil production. Over-cleansing the skin, however, can result in greater oil production as the skin compensates for oil loss. Cleansers, facial wash, toners and oil-free makeup are products used for oily skin care, as well as natural remedies such as aloe vera. Managing the buildup of sweat on the skin — especially in warmer climates — can help regulate skin oil production.
For oily skin care, it is necessary to understand why oily skin occurs. The sebaceous glands are located within the dermis, the second layer of skin. These glands secrete a substance called sebum, or face oil, which works its way to the surface of the skin. Over-productive sebaceous glands produce too much oil, which creates oily, shiny skin and a propensity to develop acne and blackheads.
It is tempting to over-cleanse oily skin to remove the oily appearance. The drying effect from the excessive use of cleansers, soap and exfoliation can remove too much oil from the skin. Skin requires a certain amount of oil to stay healthy, plump and moisturized, and excessive washing can stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce even greater amounts of oil to cope for the loss.
Gentle cleansing twice a day with a mild cleanser or face wash will remove the right amount of oil. A mild body wash is appropriate for the upper back, which is also prone to oiliness. Avoid using regular soap on oily skin, because it strips the skin of excessive amounts of oil, stimulating the skin to over-produce oil.
In hot weather, sweating can cause pores to clog and grease to buildup on the skin, resulting in acne. Less cleansing is required in colder weather because less sweat is produced. When deciding how often to cleanse your skin, think about the temperature and how much you sweat.
For oily skin care, use oil-free moisturizers that do not add extra oil to the skin. After skin is cleansed, it can feel dry, so an oil-free moisturizer will compensate. Always remove makeup at the end of the day, because makeup can stimulate oil production. Apply a little loose powder to oily patches if they develop during the day. Choose an oil-free foundation, because this will produce a matte look to combat shine.
Try a natural remedies such as aloe vera, because it can be used as an effective, non-greasy skin toner. Apply a 1-to-1 mixture of witch hazel and lime juice specifically to oily areas of skin. This should stem oil production in these areas throughout the day.

Tutorial: Delicate Watercolor Nails
I love how this experiment with Watercolour nails turned out. So I’m sharing a step by step tutorial so you can try this new technique too. It’s fun, fast and unbelievably easy. You just need your imagination, a few pretty colours and gold foil..
When I first reviewed the Delicate collection, I was inspired to do several designs . Today I’m showing you the second and there will be a third next week.
The nail art technique that I’m about to show you can be easily adapted for dozens of other nail designs in any colour you like. It’s spring in Australia so pastels make sense for me, but if you want to adapt this mani for colder weather just use dark colours.
Now, without further ado, let’s see the how-to.
HOW TO:
1. Apply 3 coats of white nail polish on all nails and apply 1 coat of a quick drying top coat. Let it all dry for 15-20 mins.
2. Work one nail at a time. Apply light pink, orange and cream dots randomly in the middle of the nail.
3. Saturate a flat wide nail art brush in acetone and drip it over the dots. Gently pat the surface of polish (without touching your nails) with a brush to help acetone to spread and wash out the colours. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on all nails.
4. Take gold flake foil and tear off a few tiny pieces using tweezers. Using a detailing nail art brush, pick up the gold pieces and place randomly over each nail. Apply a couple of studs over the foil.
5. Finish your nail design with 2 coats of clear top coat.
NOTE: step 1 is very important. If you do not allow your nails to dry after applying the top coat, the acetone will dissolve through the base without creating the desired watercolor effect.
Hope this Watercolor nails how-to inspired you to try some new unusual nail art techniques.

Step by step tutorial on how to create this holiday themed cute teddy bear.
1. With a very slim brush draw the contour with a brown colored gel as shown in the image, don't cure.
2. Mix several color gels to get a real 3D effect: yellow, medium brown, dark brown, and white for the body and face of the teddy bear. Start painting and filling in with the gels. Use red and red mixed with black to create two kinds of reds for the hat and socks. Cure it for only a few seconds under a UV/ led lamp.
3. With another brush, kolinsky hair preferred, begin to add darker spots with darker shades of the colors, cure it for only a few seconds.
4. On the lighter areas, with a very pigmented white gel, add the pigment and blend it well and add highlights. Cure it again for a few seconds, then with a thin brush, add the nose in using two colors– red and dark red, add the bowl, then detail in with the thin brush.
5. Now, with a thin brush, add the details and contour in with dark brown- the eyes and small hairs over the teddy bear (lines must be very thin). After, set the nails in the UV lamp for two minutes to cure, apply the top coat.
6. Finally, over the top coat, draw in the snow with white gel. Before curing it, sprinkle on some extra-fine white glitter over the white areas, then put the nails back in the UV lamp for two minutes. Finally, remove any extra glitter with a nailbrush. Don't add on a top coat over it – it must be like real snow.

Step 3:
Once the paint has dried, hold a nail form at an angle over the tip of the nail. Using the form as a guide, spray paint short diagonal lines across the tip with white airbrush paint.
Step 4:

What you'll need to fix your broken nails:
Acrylic powder and liquid
Nail Art Brush
Clear base coat nail polish
Step 1: Prepare Acrylic Powder And Liquid
All you need to fix your broken nail is some acrylic powder and liquid, as well as a small brush. You also should prepare a base coat to protect your nails after fixing. Make sure to use the clear powder.
Don't have acrylic powder and liquid at home? Find it at BeautyBigBang.
Step 2: How Much Acrylic Powder To Use?
You don’t need a lot of the acrylic powder or liquid, just a small amount to fix your nail. Dip your brush into the liquid, making sure to get rid of any excess to avoid a mess. Then, dip the wet brush into the acrylic powder. Don’t take too much of the powder, just enough to create a small round ball.
Step 3: Apply On The Broken Nail
Apply the ball of acrylic right on top of your broken nail and quickly spread it around. You don’t have to cover the entire nail but make sure it’s thin enough to avoid any bumps. However, if you put too much, the acrylic will peel off. It should be thinly spread out but also strong enough to glue your broken nail together.
If the acrylic dried up before you could spread it out, add more of the liquid to soften it up a bit. Once it dries, just buff up the surface to even out any bumps.
Additional tip: Apply a base coat to strengthen your nails more!

10 Color Changing Nail Inspirations – Cool Nail Art Designs
I remember being in love with mood rings as a kid. Seeing the stone change colors based on my “mood” captured my awe since the first time I wore one. Once I came to discover the secret behind the jewelry, I was not any less impressed. In fact, it gave me just another reason to love them. To this day I own one of these color changing rings and am still completely amused by it. Because of this fascination, I was extremely excited when I bought my first bottle of mood nail polish a few years ago.
Since that day, fashion has managed to find new ways to make color changing nails a possibility. I am still just as excited as I was that first day every time I find a new design to try out.
